Service

    Regional Freight Services

Pickup today, delivered tomorrow across regional Queensland and Northern NSW.

Our General Service is the most cost-effective way to move less-volume freight through regional Queensland — overnight delivery for most service zones, with some zones taking around 2 business days. Pickup is generally available the business day before the expected delivery. The regional network connects Brisbane to Toowoomba, Dalby, Roma, the Western Corridor, the Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Kingaroy, Wide Bay and Northern NSW. Pickup in the afternoon, delivered to consignee the next business day on Brisbane-to-regional runs. Regional-town-to-regional-town freight generally takes 1–2 business days as it returns to our Archerfield depot for reloading onto the correct outbound vehicle.

    Common customer problems we solve

    The problem

Regional customers charged premium same-day rates when they don't need it.

General Service is our cheapest tier — book by 2 pm Brisbane / 9 am regional and it lands next business day.

    The problem

Freight bouncing between depots for days on end.

Hub-and-spoke through one Brisbane depot — one cross-dock, one line-haul, one delivery.

    The problem

Regional-to-regional freight nobody wants to touch.

We collect back to Archerfield and reload to the outbound run — 1–2 business days end-to-end.

    Pricing considerations

General Service is priced by pallet, cubic metre or dead-weight (whichever is greater) plus a small line-haul component for each region.

    Get a tailored quote
    • Origin & destination zone

Toowoomba/Boonah cheaper than Stanthorpe or Tenterfield; Bundaberg/Hervey Bay carry the longest line-haul.

    • Regularity

Standing daily/weekly runs unlock account rates well below ad-hoc.

    • Cut-off flexibility

Standard cut-offs are cheapest; guaranteed late cut-offs need a standing arrangement.

    • Volume

The more pallets per lane, the lower the per-pallet rate — bulk consignments should switch to Point-to-Point Bulk Freight.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Toowoomba & the Western Corridor (including Boonah, Warwick and Stanthorpe), Sunshine Coast & Gympie, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, plus Northern NSW including Tenterfield, Lismore, Casino, Ballina and the Tweed.

General Service is the best option whenever freight volume is smaller and the consignment isn't urgent — it's our most cost-effective tier for scheduled regional runs.

The standard General Service booking cut-off is 2:00 pm across all pricing zones. Transit depends on both the pickup and the delivery zone: typically 1 business day when both are in Pricing Zone 1 (Brisbane Metro), and up to 2 business days for every other route across Pricing Zones 2 to 5. If you need a later cut-off as part of a regular schedule — for example, a 3:30 pm collection every Tuesday and Thursday — that can be arranged if agreed in advance as part of a scheduled or account run.

The 2:00 pm cut-off applies everywhere, but geography affects transit time: transit is typically 1 business day only when both the pickup and the delivery are inside Brisbane Metro (Pricing Zone 1). Any route between different pricing zones — including the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield, the Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW — is returned to our Archerfield depot, cross-docked and delivered in up to 2 business days.

It means a standing arrangement locked in ahead of time — not an on-the-spot request. For example, if your Acacia Ridge warehouse needs a regular 3:30 pm pickup every Tuesday and Thursday, we can write that into your account schedule so the driver is dispatched knowing the freight is guaranteed to make the regional line-haul. Ad-hoc same-day requests after the standard cut-off cannot be guaranteed under General Service and would typically shift to Hot Shot.

We do both. Our network runs daily collections from regional towns back to our Archerfield depot, where consignments are sorted and reloaded onto the specific vehicles heading to their final destinations. So a pickup in Toowoomba bound for Warwick comes back to Brisbane general, then leaves on the next western-corridor run.

Regional-town-to-regional-town delivery generally takes 1–2 business days. The consignment is collected from the origin town, brought back to our Archerfield depot, cross-docked, and then loaded onto the correct outbound vehicle for the destination town. For urgent regional-to-regional freight, Hot Shot provides direct point-to-point delivery without depot handling.

Yes — permanent daily hire and scheduled runs are core to our business.
