    Non-Bulk Dangerous Goods Transport

    Ontime Haulers accepts packaged and non-bulk dangerous goods subject to ADG Code classification, quantity, packaging, segregation and vehicle requirements. Bulk dangerous goods, tankers, bulk containers, explosives, radioactive material and other prohibited/high-risk DG are not accepted unless specifically approved in writing.

    This policy sets out the categories of dangerous goods Ontime Haulers will and will not transport, and the conditions that apply to any non-bulk dangerous goods consignment. It applies to all freight bookings, collections, carriage and deliveries undertaken by Ontime Haulers Pty Ltd and its representatives.

    Dangerous goods must be declared at the time of booking. The customer is responsible for accurate classification, compliant packaging, correct labelling and all required documentation.

    1. What we accept

    Ontime Haulers accepts packaged and non-bulk dangerous goods subject to:

    • ADG Code classification, quantity, packaging, segregation and vehicle requirements;
    • Correct UN number, proper shipping name, class/division and packing group;
    • Approved packaging that is intact, correctly closed and suitable for transport;
    • Required dangerous goods labels, marks and orientation arrows;
    • Compatible segregation within the vehicle load;
    • Vehicle, equipment and driver suitability for the goods and route;
    • All required documentation being available at collection.

    2. What we do not accept

    Unless specifically approved in writing by Ontime Haulers management, we do not accept:

    • Bulk dangerous goods;
    • Tankers or tanker loads;
    • Bulk containers or bulk packaging;
    • Explosives (Dangerous Goods Class 1);
    • Radioactive material (Dangerous Goods Class 7);
    • Other prohibited or high-risk dangerous goods not suited to our fleet or driver authority.

    3. Customer responsibilities

    The customer warrants and must ensure that:

    • all dangerous goods are declared before booking;
    • classifications, quantities, weights and dimensions are accurate;
    • goods are packaged, labelled, marked and segregated in accordance with the ADG Code;
    • Safety Data Sheets, dangerous goods declarations, transport documents and emergency information are provided;
    • loading and unloading sites are safe and accessible for the allocated vehicle;
    • all permits, approvals and regulatory requirements are satisfied.

    4. Refusal and suspension

    Ontime Haulers may refuse or suspend carriage where dangerous goods are undeclared, incorrectly declared, inadequately packaged, improperly labelled, incompatible with other freight, unsuitable for the allocated vehicle, or where documentation, driver authority or equipment requirements are not satisfied. The customer remains responsible for reasonable costs already incurred.

    5. Documentation

    Required documentation may include Safety Data Sheets, dangerous goods declarations, transport documents, emergency information, labels, placards and any permits or approvals required by law.

    6. Service levels

    Non-bulk dangerous goods may be carried on General Service or Hot Shot depending on urgency, route and operational suitability. Express Same-Day Service is only available for pickups and deliveries within eligible Pricing Zone 1 or Zone 2 suburbs, booked by 9:00 AM, and only where the DG consignment meets same-day operational and safety requirements.
