    How it works

    1. 1

      Declare

Tell us the DG class, UN number, quantity, weight, dimensions and pickup/delivery addresses when requesting a quote.

    2. 2

      Verify

We confirm packaging, labels, documentation and vehicle suitability before accepting the booking.

    3. 3

      Collect

A suitably equipped vehicle and authorised driver collect the goods at the agreed time.

    4. 4

      Deliver

Freight is transported and delivered in compliance with ADG Code requirements, with proof of delivery returned.

    What we accept

We carry packaged/non-bulk dangerous goods when the consignment meets ADG Code requirements and our operational capability.

    Packaged DG

Dangerous goods in approved packages, drums, cartons or intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) within non-bulk quantities.

    Classified and documented

Goods must be correctly classified with a UN number, proper shipping name, class/division and packing group where applicable.

    Correctly labelled

All packages must display the required DG labels, marks and orientation arrows before collection.

    Segregated loads

Incompatible dangerous goods are not carried together unless the ADG Code permits it and the vehicle is equipped for safe segregation.

    What we do not accept

For safety, regulatory and operational reasons the following are not accepted unless specifically approved in writing by Ontime Haulers management.

    Bulk dangerous goods

Tankers, bulk containers, bulk liquids, gases or solids carried in bulk form.

    Explosives

Dangerous Goods Class 1 explosives and blasting materials.

    Radioactive material

Dangerous Goods Class 7 radioactive material.

    Other high-risk DG

Any prohibited or high-risk dangerous goods not suited to our fleet or driver authority.

    Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for ensuring the goods are lawful to transport and correctly prepared before collection.

    Declare before booking

Dangerous goods must be declared at the time of booking, not at collection or during transit.

    Provide documentation

Safety Data Sheets, dangerous goods declarations, transport documents and emergency information must be available.

    Proper packaging

Packages must be UN-approved or otherwise compliant, intact, correctly closed and suitable for the stresses of transport.

    Accurate information

Class, UN number, quantity, weight, dimensions and any special handling requirements must be accurate.

    Service levels for dangerous goods

The right service level depends on the pickup zone, delivery zone and how quickly the freight must move.

    General Service

Our cost-effective option for non-urgent DG. Book by 2:00 PM. Transit is typically 1 business day within Pricing Zone 1 and up to 2 business days between different pricing zones.

    Hot Shot

Dedicated point-to-point dispatch for urgent dangerous goods, subject to vehicle, driver and equipment availability.

    Express Service

Same-day pickup and delivery is only available when both pickup and delivery are in eligible Pricing Zone 1 or Zone 2 suburbs, booked by 9:00 AM. DG must also meet same-day operational and safety requirements.
