If I book in advance for a specific day, is that still Express?
+
Yes. Booking ahead does not change the service level: if the pickup and the delivery both have to happen on the same day, it is an Express Service job — even when it is booked days or weeks in advance for a specific date. Express still requires both pickup and delivery to be in eligible Pricing Zone 1 or Zone 2 suburbs, and same-day bookings must be placed by 9:00 am.
What's the difference between Hot Shot and Express?
+
Hot Shot is an immediate, dedicated point-to-point dispatch with no other stops — the fastest tier for critical freight, available across all areas in our network. Express (Same-Day) is currently available only for freight collected and delivered within eligible Pricing Zone 1 (Brisbane Metro) and Pricing Zone 2 suburbs, with a 9:00 am booking cut-off. Express is not available for freight to or from Pricing Zones 3, 4 or 5 — for those pickups, book General Service up to 2:00 pm (1–2 business days transit), or contact our office about a Hot Shot dedicated run.
Which service level is the most cost-effective?
+
Our General Service is the most cost-effective tier for less-volume, scheduled freight across regional QLD and Northern NSW. For same-day work collected in Brisbane Metro choose Express, and for multi-stop jobs Taxi Truck day hire (8-hour minimum) usually works out best.
How does Taxi Truck Hire work?
+
Taxi Truck Hire is a day-hire facility, not an ordinary hourly delivery service. You hire a vehicle and driver with a minimum of 8 hours in most cases (a 4-hour minimum only where exceptionally pre-arranged) and use it for unlimited pickups and deliveries in that window. Hire rates are quoted per vehicle class on request — contact our quotes team for a tailored quote.
Which areas do these service levels cover?
+
General Service, Hot Shot and Taxi Truck Hire operate across South East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, plus Boonah, Warwick and Stanthorpe) and extend into Wide Bay and Northern NSW including Tenterfield. Express Same-Day is narrower: it is currently available only for freight collected and delivered within eligible Pricing Zone 1 (Brisbane Metro) and Pricing Zone 2 suburbs, booked by 9:00 am.
What are the cut-off times for General Service?
+
The standard General Service booking cut-off is 2:00 pm across all pricing zones. Transit depends on both the pickup and the delivery zone: typically 1 business day when both are in Pricing Zone 1 (Brisbane Metro), and up to 2 business days for every other route across Pricing Zones 2 to 5. If you need a later cut-off as part of a regular schedule — for example, a 3:30 pm collection every Tuesday and Thursday — that can be arranged if agreed in advance as part of a scheduled or account run.
How does the geography of my pickup affect the cut-off time?
+
The 2:00 pm cut-off applies everywhere, but geography affects transit time: transit is typically 1 business day only when both the pickup and the delivery are inside Brisbane Metro (Pricing Zone 1). Any route between different pricing zones — including the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield, the Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW — is returned to our Archerfield depot, cross-docked and delivered in up to 2 business days.
What does 'agreed before' mean for General Service cut-offs?
+
It means a standing arrangement locked in ahead of time — not an on-the-spot request. For example, if your Acacia Ridge warehouse needs a regular 3:30 pm pickup every Tuesday and Thursday, we can write that into your account schedule so the driver is dispatched knowing the freight is guaranteed to make the regional line-haul. Ad-hoc same-day requests after the standard cut-off cannot be guaranteed under General Service and would typically shift to Hot Shot.
Do you collect from regional towns, or only deliver from Brisbane?
+
We do both. Our network runs daily collections from regional towns back to our Archerfield depot, where consignments are sorted and reloaded onto the specific vehicles heading to their final destinations. So a pickup in Toowoomba bound for Warwick comes back to Brisbane general, then leaves on the next western-corridor run.
How long does delivery take from one regional town to another?
+
Regional-town-to-regional-town delivery generally takes 1–2 business days. The consignment is collected from the origin town, brought back to our Archerfield depot, cross-docked, and then loaded onto the correct outbound vehicle for the destination town. For urgent regional-to-regional freight, Hot Shot provides direct point-to-point delivery without depot handling.
